Just cook and talk. Pinch & Pour listens while you're at the stove and turns your own words — the pinches, the pours, the “until it smells right” — into a recipe worth passing down.
Free during beta · No credit card required
Just talk naturally while you cook. We catch 'a pinch of this' and 'cook until golden brown' — no precise measurements needed.
Everything you say becomes a written recipe — ingredients, steps, and cooking times, organized and in order. No typing, no tidying up afterward.
Generate beautiful recipe cards to share with family. Export as PDF or send a link — your heritage recipes, forever preserved.
You say it out loud instead of writing it. Press record before you start, cook the way you always cook, and talk through it as you go. “A pinch of this” and “a little more if it needs it” come through as written ingredients and steps. No translating into cup-and-teaspoon language.
Not yet, but we’re working to add new features like website and social media import and scan a recipe card. The recipe we’re built for is the other kind: the one that has never existed in text, because it has only ever lived in someone’s hands. There’s nothing to import.
Usually, yes — it was made for narration recorded over a hot stove, not in a quiet room. You don’t have to speak in order, or in full sentences, or in cookbook language. Anything the transcription wasn’t confident about gets flagged for you, and every ingredient and step stays editable before you save.
Five minutes per recording during beta. That covers most single dishes, and we’ll nudge you at four minutes and again at four-thirty. Recording ends cleanly at five rather than cutting out, so nothing you already said is lost. Longer recordings are planned, but five minutes is the limit today.
No. Pinch & Pour runs in your phone’s browser. You can add it to your home screen so it opens like an app, no need to download. Recording works straight from the browser, with the phone propped against a mug.
Only you. Every recipe is private to your account by default. When you share one, that single recipe becomes viewable by anyone with the link, and they don’t need an account to open it. Nothing else in your collection goes with it.
No — your audio is transcribed and then deleted. We don’t store the recording. What gets saved is the recipe, written in your own words.
Yes — free during beta, and no credit card. Beta includes five recorded recipes a month and three AI recipe analyses a month; saving, editing, sharing, and PDF download aren’t capped. Paid plans come later.
Every family has recipes passed down by memory. Now you can capture them, word by word, while they're still being made.
